Michael Walker, a licensed
Professional Engineer, MBA, and Principal of LANDacq
has been involved in the land acquisition and building industry
since his graduation from college in 1984. In fact, you could
say that he started in the industry
many years earlier, working with his father, renovating
homes on the weekends. His career has evolved from an interest
in residential development to a successful career as a vice
president with a large public home builder and finally as
the founder and Principal of LANDacq.
Mr. Walker started his engineering career in
1984 as a designer, ultimately progressing to Vice President
of Engineering and partner with a New Jersey based architectural
and engineering (A&E) firm. He founded a custom home building
company in 1994 with the cooperation of his A&E firm partners.
In May of 2000 he sold his interest in his home building company,
relinquished ownership in the A&E firm and joined a division
of a large public home building company as a Director of Land
and quickly advanced to Vice President of Land. More importantly,
he became part of a team and gained
critical knowledge relating to the operation of a land acquisition
and building company.
In early 2004, Mr. Walker decided to apply his
experience in an entrepreneurial manner and subsequently resigned
his V.P. position and founded LANDacq.
His firm has the experience,
knowledge, and financial strength to successfully develop
your land.
